The Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss

Have you ever imagined what life would be like if you only had to work four hours per week At this point in your life, it probably wouldn’t be too pleasant, especially considering the fact that you’re only making enough to get by. Four hours per week wouldn’t even be enough to put food on the table, much less provide you with your current lower-level lifestyle.

The ultimate goal for most people is to go from being a bottom feeder to the top of the food chain. Fortunately, there is a great possibility for everyone who is currently living and breathing to move up. Whether or not you are going to be working only four hours per week depends on you.

What people want the most is to be less concerned about work and more concerned about the things in life that make it worth living such as friends, loved ones, vacations, etc. There are people all over the planet who have just that, as well as enough money to spend. These same people are only working four hours or less per week. In addition, these people are making money even while they are asleep.

Sound like a dream The truth is that it is a dream. But for many, it is a dream that has came true. Because this dream is something that people yearned for for so long, it has already been discovered. The formula to living this type of lifestyle is officially here. It is no longer a secret, but a reality that has been manifest time and time again.

The first step is to figure out what you want to do. There are plenty of businesses out there that will allow you to work four hours or less per week. Perhaps the most difficult part of achieving this type of lifestyle is simply discovering how badly you want it.

Part of the difficulty has to do with overcoming the fear that your plans will fall through. Let’s say that you find a business that you are truly interested in. Let’s also assume that this is a multi-level marketing business. Most people might run as soon as they hear the term, multi-level marketing. However, if you are sincerely sick and tired of the 40 to 60-hour work week and are serious about paying more attention to life rather than pleasing your boss, then you’ll be more than willing to take the risk.

Now, that is not to say that you quit your current job, as you are going to continue to need to make money to maintain your current level of living. Unfortunately, your 40 to 60-hour work week will accumulate an additional 4 hours. However in the end, it is those last 4 hours that will count the most.

The majority of individuals who are willing to take this leap of faith are the one’s who end up making more money than they know what to do with. Part of this sudden stroke of good luck has to do with their overall state of mind and belief in themselves and ability to accumulate wealth. It’s all about positive thinking.

More so than that, it’s about taking chances. People who never take chances are the one’s who always wonder about what could have been. So, if you’re interested in escaping the rat race and holding yourself accountable for your own wealth, then it’s time to release yourself from prison. All it really takes is one decision, and that is the decision to say yes to your happiness.
